Dear Ms. Newman
Hello! I'm so glad that I can study in your course, and
to become a part of this course. I'm writing this self-reflection letter to
tell about my impressions as a student.
First, I want to say something about the college.
Although I already stay in college about two months, I still can’t adapt to the
curriculum of the University. All my friends, who are ESL students, believe
that FIQWS courses are the most difficult for us, but we all try to do our
best.
Second,
I'm sure that I learn a lot of college writing skill from your course, these
skill will help me to improve my essay. For example, I learned how to deeply
analyze an article. In high school, my English teacher did teach about analyzing
an article, but most of time they analyze the article for us, and then tell us
the result. Also, I learned how to improve the thesis statement. Usually, I
just write a thesis statement, then I never try to revise it.
Third,
in the beginning of the course, I told you that I didn't have any strengths as
a writer. However, right now, I think I do have the strengths as a writer. I
know how to use outline to help me improving organization. I always have many
ideas when I write a paper. Additionally, I know that I still need to improve a
lots as a writer. I always repeat an idea in my essay. I still need to work on
my grammar.
Finally, I believe that I already try my best to done
everything you arrange. As I talked you before, my participation is poor. I
really want to say something in your course, but it is difficult for me to
immediately say something. So far, if I need to give myself a final grade, I
think the grade is around B. Although I already do my best in your course, I think
I could do more.
Sincerity
Bin Bin Li
What about the curriculum are you guys finding difficult to adapt to? (It makes complete sense that it would be difficult to adapt, I'm just curious what in particular makes it difficult.) It makes sense that FIQWS would be one of the hardest classes because it's all based around English, unless there's another reason.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you're more confident in yourself as a writer now.
