Questions:
1)
Does
the outline meet the criteria we discussed on the 12th? How? How not?
I think my
outline meets the criteria we discussed on the 12th because I tried
to follow the paper “Paragraphs – a general overview”, which you gave us
before. In my outline, I have an introduction paragraph with thesis statement
and a final conclusion paragraph. Then, in each paragraph I have topic sentence,
examples and explanations. In my opinion, I think my outline might meet the
criteria we discussed, but my essay still need to revise a lot, such as more
examples, and more specific explanations.
2)
Would
it have been more helpful to make the outline before writing the first draft or
after? Why?
I think making an outline after writing
the first draft is better. When I wrote my essay, I did make a very simple
outline. However, with my thoughts constantly changed, I always needed to
change my outline during the writing time. Eventually, I throw away my simple
outline, and just wrote what I wanted to write. As the result, I think it’s
better to write outline after finishing the first draft.
