Tentative thesis:
Since the announcement of Genetic Engineering, scientists test Genetic
Engineering in different areas, such as plants, animals and human. Although we
can get huge benefits from Genetic Engineering and change our current
environment, Genetic engineering can always bring great disaster to human.
Explanation:
The scientists have been testing and development of Genetic Engineering.
In recent years, genetically modified foods gradually developed out. In the
future, Genetic Engineering in foods, medicine and species areas will play an
important role, and it will change our environment. At the same time, people
show concerns about genetic engineering, such as gene viruses and human
cloning. Genetic engineering and the moral values of the people is also
tightly linked together.

A possible opposing idea: When human transplant different genes between
different species, they destroy the boundary, which set up by nature. As a
result, Genetic Engineering would bring serious unpredictable consequences.
Example: gene viruses and gene mutation.

Bin Bin, yes, this is exactly right. Your topic looks very interesting. My guess is that you'll have to narrow your thesis as you go, but this is a good start. However, I do like how you have that "although" in your thesis--that's exactly what I've been talking about in class.
